Hi, I’m Michael Riley.
I created this blog as part of my coursework in Digital Media and Media Literacy at Arizona State University, but it is also a space for me to explore topics that genuinely interest me. As someone who has spent years working in media and entertainment while also studying digital communication, I’m fascinated by the ways media shapes culture, identity, and public conversation.

Through this blog, I plan to examine how media messages are created, how audiences interpret them, and how digital platforms influence the way information spreads. My goal is to take ideas we discuss in class and connect them to real-world examples from news, social media, pop culture, and everyday life.

Ultimately, this blog is about curiosity. Media is everywhere around us, and the more we understand how it works, the more thoughtfully we can engage with the world around us.
